Consistently inconsistent
Wrote a new song last week and have been playing it constantly!!! I have a performance tomorrow in my Artist Development class and I hope I remember the chords and the words. To aid my memory and general mood swings I have decided to go sugar-free for 30 days and beyond. Be prepared for the next month or so as I lament over how much I miss chocolate and cookies!! I think sugar in moderation is fine but I don't do moderation - it's all or nothing!!!! So I've decided to kick the sugar addiction so that I can be healthier and focus more on my Savior and my songwriting / worship ministry.... I think it may be a long month!!! I just want to be more consistent in life and not have so many mood swings. The new song is about inconsistency but in relation to God. He is so loving and faithful and I am not. Sometimes I am destructive and a bit of a cow! But He still loves me and that blows me away. I realize that I approach my Father in Heaven tentatively because I am aware of the way He loves me and how badly I mess things up. I sometimes wonder if there's a way back to relationship with Him when I've messed up. I realize more and more that love is a mystery, that we take it and then through our actions we break it but then because of the awesome grace of Jesus Christ we can try again. The breakage is only in our minds - He's never gone away, He's just kept loving us and waiting for us to rest in Him. So I'm consistently inconsistent but He's consistently consistent and for that I'm so grateful.

ReplyDeleteKeep preaching it girl! The Lord is working in and through you. Don't let anyone discourage you from being who our Savior has called you to be, from proclaiming his truths, or from leading by example in your worship music. You are light and salt in this dark world. I am praying for you and for protection of your heart and mind as you follow Jesus's leading. Fight the good fight sister! He is faithful. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. :-)
